About Steve
Steve Caldwell is recognized by many as one of Napa Valley's best mechanics. Steve became an auto technician after graduating 5th in his class of over 300 from the Arizona Automotive Institute in 1984. Steve remained in Arizona for 8 years and worked next to many top-level technicians, and in the process he picked up many of their tricks and skills. While employed by a few of the largest dealerships in Phoenix, he also obtained specialized training in many areas. Since returning to Napa, Steve was continually employed by local repair shops and dealerships until deciding to go independent in 2008. Steve's years of experience have built upon his expertise in all aspects of automotive maintenance, repair and upgrading.
Performance auto repair refers to Steve's specialties with high performance vehicles. Street rod, race car, show car, or special use vehicle.... any upgrade or repair is no problem. Steve and his wife Lisa are avid drag racers, each driving high horsepower race cars---with much success too! Steve has built and tuned the two race cars for the past 25+ years, and he is well known at our local racetracks for helping out many fellow racers.
